So I am on a quest to become and amazing photographer/model. I clearly have a long way to go but that's okay. It's all about the process. I think I have a good camera-I just have no idea what to do with it. I'm downloading the manual as we speak. watch out blogesphere. Here I come.
My posing and modeling skills are also lackluster. I have never liked modeliing/posing very much. Ironically, the best picture I have EVER taken has no clothing in it at all!
This was a photoshoot for a magazine and I had just gotten an AMAZING make-up job and the photographer is the best . Add that to the pregnancy glow and voila! I really admire the ability to take a good photo. There are so many variables. Espescially when you're trying to show off clothing.
Oh right-clothing. This is what I whipped up today. I like the way this outfit came together. I am sometimes weary of looking too 'tribal' in my influence because it can be a bit cliche with the dreadlocks etc. But I just can't help it sometimes. I never know how to style this belt. I think I did pretty well today.

That belt rocks my world. You know, if you don't know how to style it, you could just send it on over to me. *bats eyes* Or use it over fitted tees with a kick-ass jacket over that.
ReplyDeleteI think you look great, "tribal" or not. It's your look (right now) and that's great. Maybe sometime you'll abandon the dreads, and maybe you'll choose to keep them. The "look" isn't necessarily the entire sum of your parts. I bet if you kept the dreads, and wore something really different from your look here, you'd feel different, but still be you. Or Photoshop your head onto runway looks and see how you look! Run the experiment!
ReplyDeleteI love the glow of that top photo.
Can you autograph my copy of Sway magazine?
ReplyDeleteI love that shot ;)
