I know that everyone thinks they are the greatest thing ever but I have to say I think they make women's body's look rather fake and strange. For some reason I put some on underneath this dress today and really, all it did was make me feel weird and uncomfortable. It's not normal to be completely smooth from the waist down...their should be some jiggle....I am ready for this jelly.





I missed my super long hair.

P.S. LL Cool J has obviously made some kind of deal with the devil.He has looked pretty muc the same for the past 20 years.

I used to wear TONS of rings all the time. One on each finger!

Funny story: I lost 110 lbs and none of them fit anymore!

I never got any new ones and I've only worn my wedding rings since. I've been spotting all kinds of amazing rings lately. I hit the jackpot yesterday and found a great clearance bin: 1.50 each! They'll probably turn my fingers green but.....



I loooove this. I don't know if you can tell but this clear stone is magnifying an awesome photo of PEACOCK FEATHERS!

White Diamonds

You may be wondering why this post involving No white OR diamonds is called 'white diamonds'.

I sometimes put together an entire outfit based on a fragrance.


She's so glamorous I can't even stand it.


My husband brought me home some white diamonds last night. What a sweetie. It's the quintessential 80's fragrance really. I think everyone's mom had it. I have a very strong 'smell memory' if that makes any sense. This scent takes me right back to the 80's and makes me think of 2ND wave feminists with shoulder pads and leopard print wrap blouses under their power suits. It's all very working girl.(Not That kind of working girl-the movie!)




I do happen to have this leopard printed wrap blouse that I thrifted a while back and so I decided to rock it with some jeans and my 'mom glasses'. I spritzed on some white diamonds-and Voila!

What a difference a day makes.....

You guys....I love my hair! It's so interesting how changing one thing can inspire me to pull totally different things out of my closet than I might ordinarily. The beautiful weather helps also. Today's look is simple but pretty freaking adorable if you asked me! That awesome handmade brooch was a major score for 2 bucks! cheap IS stylish!

Nobody puts baby in a corner!

In case you missed it, my last post was all about my love for an 80's meets 50's vibe. After, I posted it, I realized that I forgot the ultimate 80's meets 50's movie: DIRTY DANCING!!! This outfit that I wore on Saturday is actually pretty boring but it is very 'Baby.' I rocked the HELL out of some cut-off jean shorts in the 80's!!!




Here I am doing my best 'Pachonga" or whatever it's called....Please excuse my crazy hair! I set it in pipe cleaners....it made the MOST AMAZING corkscrew curls ever! I am thrilled. Today's outfit is also very 80's meets 50's. It's a lovely little sundress from the 80's but the great full skirt and the length are inspired by the fabulous 50's. I think baby would have worn this outfit for sure!




p.s. I carried a watermelon.

HELLO!!!??!!! McFLY!!???!!!

For a brief magical moment in the 80's everyone was obsessed with the 50's-this gave birth to some of my favorite vintage looks of all time. Think Grease 2, Back to the Future or Joanie loves Chachi! This little ensemble that I've whipped up today is the bees knees! I think it's very 50's meets 80's. I hope everyone has a super stylish weekend!
